Inside Apple’s New $5 Billion HQ

Apple’s new Head Quarters cost them over $5 billion US dollars to build! Tying in multiple departments, setting new eco green initiatives, and obviously all the tech you could dream of! Take a look inside their HQ tour!

Apple’s $5 billion office is unlike any office building you’ve ever seen before. Tying together nature and technological innovation, the Apple HQ in Cupertino, California is sustainable, eco-friendly and one of the most employee-centric work environments in the world. It’s all thanks to Steve Jobs, who came up with the idea for the futuristic building before he passed away in 2011. The building was finally completed in 2017 and features tons of employee amenities. The building even has a wellness center with basketball courts, a yoga studio, and even medical and dental health services that cost almost $17 million to construct. It also features massive cafes with floor to ceiling glass doors that weigh 440,000 pounds each. There are even 9,000 imported trees on the campus that are both drought resistant and provide fruit for Apple’s many engineers.

One of the HQ’s best features is the Apple Auditorium, also known as the Steve Jobs Theatre. It features the tallest standing glass elevator in the world and cost about $180 million to build. There’s even a $110 million visitor’s center so that curious Apple fans can visit and take a virtual AR tour of the expansive Park. The building also provides its own energy, with solar farms on the rooftop that provide 75% of the campus’s power, as well as bio fuel-cells that handle the rest. Check out this video for a tour of Apple Park as well as the amazing ideas from Steve Jobs that inspired this innovative office.
