Joanne Rowling, creator of Harry Potter, is the best selling fiction writer of all time. Additional interviews include Michael Jacobs, VP of the American publisher who turned the marketing of Harry Potter books into blockbuster events, Melissa Anelli, webmistress of the popular Leaky Cauldron fan site, and Jim Dale, Rowling’s choice of narrator for the American audio books.

In 2020 Rowling sparked controversy after speaking out through a series of tweets and on an article posted on her site about her views of the transgender community. The tweets and the article were viewed as transphobic by the LGBTQ+ community and its allies. The author denied having any form of prejudice against transgender people.
