What is the etiquette when staying at a traditional hotel in Japan?
A Japanese Ryokan is a traditional Japanese Inn that is built around a hot spring. Patrons visit to spend time in Tatami Rooms, enjoy the public baths and to spend hours dining in fine Japanese cuisine.

The Kanaya Hotel in Kinugawa is one of the premier traditional hotels in Nikko and we had the chance to stay there, experience its public baths and take part in dining and staying in a traditional room.
