A pyramid is a structure whose outer surfaces are triangular and converge to a single step at the top, making the shape roughly a pyramid in the geometric sense. The base of a pyramid can be trilateral, quadrilateral, or of any polygon shape. As such, a pyramid has at least three outer triangular surfaces.The Pyramids of Giza were built from 2550 to 2490 B.C. Their constructors were Pharaohs; Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure.The Egyptian pyramids are ancient pyramid-shaped masonry structures located in Egypt. As of November 2008, sources cite either 118 or 138 as the number of identified Egyptian pyramids.The Pyramid of Menkaure is the smallest of the three main Pyramids of Giza, located on the Giza Plateau in the southwestern outskirts of Cairo, Egypt.The Khafre Pyramid is the second tallest and second largest pyramid. Built by Pharaoh Khafre, it reaches 136.4 metresin height (448 ft) which is 7 meters less than originally built.The Khufu Pyramid was built first and it is the largest pyramid of the three. It is also, the only wonder of the Ancient World that has survived.
