A celebration of kite-flying in Old Delhi

A celebration of the kite-flying tradition in Old Delhi, on 15th August (India’s Independence Day).

It’s the second week of July 2012, and while the rain gods have been a tad too exuberant with their bounty up in the hills of Uttarakhand, they have cut off Delhi altogether (can we blame the politicians for this, too, perhaps?)

But in order Silver iodide the clouds that have remained over Delhi this past week (it’s been altogether overcast!), let’s play this kite flying clip to bring in the monsoon mood.
